Earlier this year, we unveiled our Be Money $mart Activity Book following a statewide cover contest open to students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Our activity book provides students with hands-on financial literacy activities and helps them engage in money conversations with their family, friends, peers and teachers.

On October 1, we launched our second annual Be Money $mart financial literacy activity book cover contest.

Information on the cover contest, last year’s winner, and more is below.

2026 Cover Contest

Calling all Pennsylvania students in grades K-12!

We’re looking for someone to design the cover of our 2026 Be Money $mart activity book! Use our template, or design something from scratch, and submit your entry to us by October 30, 2026.

Winners will be announced in November.

This year, we will be selecting 3 winning covers: one from grades K-5; one from grades 6-8; and one from grades 9-12.

The winning drawings will be featured on the front cover of our activity book, which will be distributed to young Pennsylvanians across the state.

2025’s Cover Contest Winner

Olivia Green was the winner of our 2025 Be Money $mart student art competition!

After reviewing hundreds of submissions, Olivia Green’s drawing was selected by a panel of judges as the winner! Olivia’s cover was unveiled during a special ceremony at the PA Farm Show.

Submission Terms & Conditions

By submitting your coloring page, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

Participants must be a student enrolled in kindergarten through 12th grade in Pennsylvania.
One entry may be submitted per person.
The completed coloring page must be the student’s original work, may not have been previously submitted, must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property or other rights of any person, and must not violate any law.
All participants grant the Pennsylvania Department of the Auditor General (“Department”) the right to use their submission, first name, and grade for marketing and publicity in connection with this initiative.
You are providing your submission at no cost and agree that the Department may retain your content indefinitely.
Your submission becomes the property of the Department, and you release the Department from any and all liability.
The Department is not responsible for technical issues or fraudulent submissions.
The Department reserves the right to use its discretion when selecting submissions to be publicized.
