Auditor General DePasquale Issues Statement on Request to Audit Pittsburgh Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority (ICA)
HARRISBURG (Aug. 26, 2015) – Auditor General Eugene DePasquale today issued the following statement on a letter from Pittsburgh Mayor William Peduto requesting an audit of the Pittsburgh Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority (ICA):
“We received the mayor’s request today and we are committed to help address the problems and find common sense solutions.
“The Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority was established to assist Pittsburgh through tough financial times and ensure that residents receive the municipal services and public safety protection they should expect.
“Right now we are reviewing our options so that we can select the best course of action that will use our authority to help resolve the situation with the interests of Pittsburgh residents front and center.”
