About This Audit

A compliance audit of the Trumbauersville Volunteer Firefighters Relief Association for January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2024, was conducted by the Pennsylvania Department of the Auditor General. The audit, guided by state laws and the VFRA Act, aimed to assess if prior findings were addressed and current compliance with state laws regarding state aid and expenditure of funds. The audit was not performed per Government Auditing Standards. The association successfully addressed prior audit findings by adjusting fidelity bond coverage and ensured compliance with all relevant laws and procedures. With assets totaling $651,023 and expenditures of $267,301, the association demonstrated proper financial management. The association received state aid from several municipalities and managed funds appropriately according to the VFRA Act, thereby fulfilling its financial responsibilities. This report confirms the association’s compliance and was discussed with their management.
