About This Audit

The North Lebanon Township Firemen’s Relief Association underwent a compliance audit for the period of January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2025. Conducted by the Pennsylvania Department of the Auditor General, the audit aimed to verify the association’s adherence to state laws, bylaws, and administrative rules concerning state aid and fund expenditures. It found that the association addressed previous issues but failed to update its bylaws to align with the Volunteer Firefighters’ Relief Association Act, referenced in prior communications. Despite this, the audit confirmed appropriate corrective actions were taken for other past findings. After the audit conclusion, the association amended its bylaws to achieve compliance with the VFRA Act.  The association’s financial records reflected a total cash and investment balance of $259,744 and expenditures of $217,611 during the audit period.
