About This Audit

A compliance audit was conducted for the Albrightsville Volunteer Firefighters’ Relief Association in Pennsylvania, covering the period from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2024. The audit assessed whether the association adhered to state laws, contracts, bylaws, and administrative procedures about receiving state aid and managing funds. The audit concluded that the association largely complied, with one exception noted regarding the failure to receive proceeds from the sale of a jointly purchased vehicle. Specifically, the association did not receive its share of $18,275 from the sale of a vehicle purchased jointly with the affiliated fire company. The issue was resolved before the audit’s conclusion, as the fire company reimbursed the association. Further recommendations were made to ensure timely receipt and deposit of such proceeds in the future. The results of this audit will be subject to a future review to verify continued compliance.
