About This Audit
The Limited Procedures Engagement (LPE) audit of the Archbald Borough Volunteer Firefighters Relief Association, covering January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2024, assessed the handling of funds to ensure compliance with the VFRA Act and Act 205. The review examined financial transactions, state aid deposits, and internal controls without utilizing Government Auditing Standards. The association spent $314,107 during this period, with $235,218 scrutinized through various documentation, ensuring compliance with state laws and operational procedures. Interviews with officials were conducted, and all state aid was verified as appropriately deposited. This examination found no unauthorized expenditure or mismanagement of state aid. The audit’s findings were communicated with the management, emphasizing the importance of maintaining comprehensive records. The report aimed to provide accountability and assurance to the public regarding the financial management and operational compliance of the firefighters’ relief association.
