About This Audit

A compliance audit was conducted on the Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro Relief Association for the period from January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2023. The audit aimed to assess compliance with state laws, contracts, bylaws, and procedures related to the receipt of state aid and expenditure of relief association funds, guided by Pennsylvania laws. The audit, not conducted using Government Auditing Standards, concluded that the association largely complied, except for a finding that noted the failure to maintain a complete and accurate equipment roster. This lack of record-keeping hindered effective monitoring of equipment purchases and safeguarding assets. The association has acknowledged the issue and agreed to the recommendations for corrective action. The report was formally distributed to relevant officials and is publicly accessible online.
