About This Audit

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board’s Fine Wine and Good Spirits Store 1530 in Chester County underwent an examination from August 2025 to September 2026. The audit aimed to assess compliance with PLCB operating procedures. It included inventory checks, financial deposit reviews, and internal control compliance evaluations. The findings showed overall adherence to PLCB procedures but identified a significant issue with untimely lottery deposits. Specifically, 17 instances of delays were noted due to inadequate internal controls. As a corrective measure, improved monitoring and staff training on daily lottery procedures were recommended. Store management agreed with these findings and pledged to ensure timely lottery deposits. Compliance will be verified in a future examination. Prior audits noted inventory shortages and noncompliance with tax-exempt sales, but these issues were addressed by store management. This is an automated summary. Please rely on the contents included in the released audit report.
