About This Audit

The compliance audit of the Firemen’s Relief Association of Milton, covering January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2023, was conducted under the authority of Pennsylvania’s constitutional provisions and relevant state laws. The audit aimed to confirm whether the relief association effectively addressed a previous audit finding and complied with state laws regarding state aid receipt and fund expenditure. The audit concluded that the association took appropriate corrective action from prior findings and adhered to applicable laws and procedures. During this period, the relief association had a total cash and investment value of $297,089, and total expenditures were $215,271 across benefit services, fire services, administrative services, and investment purchases. The association was commended for maintaining a complete and accurate equipment roster. The results were discussed with management, and there were no significant compliance issues found.
