Jonathan R. Davis Volunteer Firemen’s Relief Association – Luzerne County – Audit Period January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2024

The compliance audit of the Jonathan R. Davis Volunteer Firemen’s Relief Association in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, was conducted for the period of January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2024. The audit aimed to verify if corrective actions were taken following previous audit findings and if state laws and procedures were followed concerning state aid and fund expenditures. The audit was based on state laws, specifically the VFRA Act, without adherence to Government Auditing Standards. The audit concluded that the relief association took the necessary corrective actions and complied with the relevant legal and procedural requirements. Furthermore, the relief association corrected prior issues, such as excessive rental fees, by relocating to a rent-free site, and overall managed its finances in compliance with state guidelines. This report was shared with several government officials and the relief association’s management team.
