About This Audit
The compliance audit of the Pine Glen Volunteer Firemen’s Relief Association for January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2024, was performed to verify corrective actions from a previous audit finding and compliance with state laws, contractual obligations, and administrative procedures. The relief association took appropriate corrective actions and substantially complied with all relevant regulations regarding state aid and expenditure of funds. The audit, conducted under the Volunteer Firefighters’ Relief Association Act, was not under Government Auditing Standards but intended to ensure the proper expenditure of funds received from the Foreign Fire Insurance Tax. The audit confirmed total cash of $7,798 and expenditures of $5,705 for the period. Following prior recommendations, the relief association obtained a Pennsylvania sales tax exemption number for vendor transactions. The auditors commended the association for compliance and encouraged continued adherence to legal and organizational standards. The report is publicly accessible through the Pennsylvania Auditor General’s website.
