About This Audit

A Limited Procedures Engagement (LPE) was conducted on The Clermont Volunteer Fire Department Relief Fund Association in McKean County, Pennsylvania, covering the period from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2024. The LPE aimed to verify compliance with authorized fund expenditures and proper receipt and deposit of state aid funds, as per state laws including the Volunteer Firefighters’ Relief Association Act and Act 205. The engagement involved reviewing transactions, interviewing officials, and verifying deposits, focusing on $1,266 in expenses. The findings revealed no unauthorized expenditures or deposit issues. The relief association’s funds primarily support volunteer firefighters, with their financial operations overseen to ensure adherence to legal and administrative procedures. The organization was allocated funds from Sergeant Township, which totaled $6,304 over the audited period. As of December 31, 2024, the association had cash holdings of $30,345, with separate entity status from the affiliated Clermont Volunteer Fire Department.
