About This Audit
A compliance audit was conducted for the Upper Pottsgrove Township Volunteer Firefighters’ Relief Association from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2024. The audit, mandated by Pennsylvania law, aimed to assess corrective actions on prior findings and compliance with state laws and procedures regarding the management of state aid and relief association funds. The audit found that the association addressed three of five previous findings but not two others related to unauthorized expenditures and incomplete equipment records. Although generally compliant with regulations, issues included unauthorized expenditures and failures in inventory management and bylaw updates. Total funds, expenditures, and specific areas of noncompliance were reviewed and discussed, with recommendations provided. The relief association’s officers are reminded of their responsibilities to adhere to state regulations. Findings and recommendations from the audit should be implemented to improve financial management practices. The audit report acknowledges the cooperation of association officials throughout the process. This is an automated summary. Please rely on the contents included in the released audit report.
