About This Audit

The compliance audit of the Volunteer Fire Department of Carroll Township Relief Association, covering January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2024, was conducted under the authority of various Pennsylvania state laws. The audit aimed to verify if the association addressed previous audit findings and complied with relevant laws regarding state aid and fund expenditure. The audit determined the association took corrective actions to address prior findings, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, except for a matter related to the inability to independently verify the end cash balance of $20,830. Total expenditures were $101,308 during the period. The relief association has been proactive in adhering to regulations, as indicated by the improved signatory process for fund disbursements. This report was made available to key stakeholders and public officials in Pennsylvania for transparency and accountability.
