About This Audit
The compliance audit of the Wallaceton Area Volunteer Firemen’s Relief Association, covering January to November 2023, assessed adherence to state laws, contracts, bylaws, and procedures concerning state aid and funds usage. Conducted under the authority of Pennsylvania laws and the VFRA Act, the audit revealed compliance in significant areas. During this period, the association dissolved and merged with the Morris Township Volunteer Firemen’s Relief Association, transferring all assets. The audit highlighted that total expenditures were $19,337, mainly for fire services and administrative expenses. This report is publicly accessible and highlights the responsibilities of relief associations in managing funds properly.
