Examples of Duties
The DAG is excited to welcome several Information Technology Auditor 1 positions within the Bureau of Information Technology Audits. As an IT Auditor 1, you will participate in auditing IT systems in government agencies and programs, as well as organizations, businesses, and other entities that receive state funds. The auditor determines that compliance with Commonwealth security standards, applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, rules, and auditing standards are being met. This professional also performs data analysis using a variety of automated tools including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Audit Command Language (ACL).
Work duties include, but are not limited to:

Researching, learning, and applying information technology security standards, laws, regulations, guidelines, and auditing standards;

Analyzing electronic data files in various formats;

Locating, evaluating, and analyzing records and other information; and

Creating, inputting, accessing, and retrieving data, including but not limited to audit work papers, audit findings, and audit/administrative reports.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- This position requires travel to Harrisburg for audit site visits and in-person training.
- Telework: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, business, computer since, data analytics, finance, economics, information technology, math or a closely related field.
Additional Requirements:
- This position requires a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- One or more of the following certifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
- Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP)
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
