HARRISBURG (July 31, 2018) – Auditor General Eugene DePasquale today met with leaders from the Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA) to discuss what progress the agency is making to address 117 recommendations for improvement from his 2017 audit reports.

“Following up on major recommendations in my audits, PPA now has updated sexual harassment policy and procedures in place that includes training for staff,” DePasquale said.

“There is progress being made to tackle the recommendations I handed PPA in December,” he said following a productive meeting Scott Petri who became PPA’s executive director after the audit was completed.

“I will continue to keep a close watch on PPA’s progress while I support City Controller Rebecca Rhynhart’s audit of the authority.”

In December, DePasquale completed two audits of PPA’s operations covering issues from 2012 to 2017. Combined, the two audits contained 11 findings and 117 recommendations for PPA management, its board of directors, and the General Assembly.
