HARRISBURG (July 29, 2013) – Auditor General Eugene DePasquale released the following statement upon learning of the death of former Pennsylvania Governor William W. Scranton:
“Bill Scranton had a very distinguished career serving Pennsylvania and the nation as governor, U.S. congressman and ambassador to the United Nations. He was a statesman in the truest sense of this word. “Tracey and I extended our condolences to Governor Scranton’s wife, Mary, and the entire Scranton family. “
