Auditor General DePasquale Supports Equal Pay Effort
HARRISBURG (June 7, 2018) – Auditor General Eugene DePasquale today issued the following statement on closing the gender pay gap:
“We need to permanently close the gender pay gap.
“My office already doesn't require salary history from job candidates because a worker’s salary should be based on the job requirements.
“I commend Gov. Tom Wolf for issuing an executive order this week requiring state agencies under his jurisdiction to eliminate gender bias from the hiring equation. I have instructed my team to ensure that we do the same.”
