Auditor General DePasquale Urges Re-Appointment of Terry Mutchler as Office of Open Records Executive Director

HARRISBURG (May 2, 2014) – Auditor General Eugene DePasquale today released the following statement supporting the reappointment of Terry Mutchler as executive director of the state’s Office of Open Records:

“In the six years since Pennsylvania’s Right-to-Know Law was enacted, an increasing amount of light has been shed on the operation of government, and that is how it should be. I was proud to be an early proponent of the law as a member of the General Assembly.

“Many of the transparency and openness improvements in Pennsylvania government can be traced to Terry Mutchler’s work as executive director of the Office of Open Records since it opened in 2008. Terry deftly organized the office and has performed her duties in a fair, honest, independent and professional manner.

“Terry’s continued leadership will help make government more accessible and accountable. I strongly support the re-appointment of Terry Mutchler as executive director of Pennsylvania’s Office of Open Records.”
