Auditor General DePasquale Urges Scranton School District Board to Immediately Act Upon Audit Recommendations
HARRISBURG (Oct. 30, 2017) – Auditor General Eugene DePasquale today issued the following statement regarding the Scranton School District:
"I sincerely hope the Scranton School District board uses tonight's work session to begin to heal its self-inflicted wounds and begin a very long, painful recovery. Scranton's students and taxpayers deserve better than what they have experienced.
"My audit report is a start. It is up to the Scranton School District board and administrative staff to fix this train wreck.
"I can tell you one thing: I will be back to review the progress of Scranton School District, and we will return sooner than expected."
