Auditor General DePasquale Says Scranton School District Audit Nearing Completion
HARRISBURG (Oct. 10, 2017) – Auditor General Eugene DePasquale today urged the Scranton City School District board of directors to proceed with the audit review conference to discuss the draft audit report.
“We are nearing completion of our audit report on the Scranton City School District,” DePasquale said. “An important part of that process is to have a candid, private discussion through an audit review conference with school district officials to help ensure the accuracy and integrity of the audit report.”
Under exceptions to the Sunshine Act, such conferences are not to be opened to the public since the board members will not take any votes or make any determinations impacting on agency business.
“The sooner this non-voting, non-public meeting can happen, the sooner I will be able to report the complete findings of this audit to district residents,” he said.
The last audit of the Scranton City School District was issued in October 2013 and is available online at: www.PaAuditor.gov.
